This is the illustration that was used for the Dennis The Menace movie poster. It includes Walter Matthau who was the star of the movie. Studio suits believe that posters need stars. I find it amazing that anyone went to see Anatomy of a Murder, Vertigo, West Side Story or Exodus. Saul Bass didn't include any of the stars in his designs for those posters. What was he thinking?
